Statement of Purpose

 

The Watonga Foundation for Academic Excellence was founded in 1991. The WAFE is a non-profit educational and/or charitable organization under the laws of the State of Oklahoma, Title 18, Oklahoma Statutes, section 851-862. Our Tax ID# is 73-1376535.

The objective of the Organization is funding and administrating funds for scientific, educational and charitable purposes in the form of teacher grant requests.  

The Watonga Foundation for Academic Excellence awards grants to teachers on a yearly basis. To receive a grant, a teacher must fill out an application with information about what they are requesting for their classroom, how much it will cost, how it will be used in the classroom, and how many students it will reach.

The committee decides where the money will be allocated, and awards the grant money to the teachers to purchase the item/items. The grant applications are kept anonymous until the final decisions are made.

All donations are tax deductible. Mailing address is indicated below for donations.
